Taken from the Mix Lounge on top of Mandalay Bay

well peeps- we made it back alive!! Just barely. Six days in Vegas is kind of an eternity. We went to every casino, ate at every restaurant and left no blackjack card unturned! And let me tell you, we came out on top! The man of honor, Mr. Andy Allen, was celebrating his 21st birthday and basically they are renaming the city after him after the “winnings heard round the world” of the weekend. I may or may not have thrown down on a few tables myself, but I’m not one to brag. We stayed at the beautiful Mirage, home of the Beatles “Love” show, which we saw and it was amazing. The talent that these people have to do twisty, twirly, bendy stuff just blows my mind. I definitely recommend seeing this if you head out west. We also went to eat at the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Paris which was so so beautiful with an amazing view and delicious food! Good wine, pretty people and a wedding party with bright red taffeta bridesmaids dresses sitting next to us pretty much made my night, and maybe my trip. One night we had dinner at the hibachi restaurant, Mizumi, at the Wynn which was AH-MAY-ZING. I wanted to order another dinner for dessert, it was that good. We did so many fun things, lots of shopping and lots (lots) of cocktails. Probably my favorite Vegas trip yet! Side note: I want to point out that this trip was taken in the month of “Movember” which explains the mustache/beard on my husband. He is not a creepy stalker with a mustache and it is no longer on his face (thank GOD!)

Woohoo! Tomorrow the Lauderdales are getting on a plane and flying to where the magic happens- good ole Las Vegas! Our good friends and local beach family, the Allens, son, Little Andy, is turning 21 and who better to ring in this special occasion than us? Who WOULDN’T want us taking their son out for his 21st birthday in Vegas? I can’t think of anyone. I’ve got both of my suitcases full of heels, sparkly dresses, eye lashes and a hair weave so I’m pretty sure I’ve got it all covered. Stay tuned for pictures, tweets and an overall review of the haps. (Still trying to make “haps” happen…) And lets hope we come home saying, in the immortal words of my dad and favorite story of my Grandaddy, “I HAMMERED ‘EM!!!” See you soon!! xo
